The oak boards are deliberately cut to random widths (unlike the cottage doors where each board is exactly the same size). This is an intentional and effective feature. The knots and shakes in the oak are deliberately left open to add to the authentic antique aged effects on these barn doors.

You can buy barn doors in widths of 2’ to 2’9”, and all come at the standard height of 6’6”. Combine with traditional handforged ironmongery – T hinges and Suffolk latches are the perfect partners for these oak doors.

The antique reproduction doors are supplied ‘aged’ but unfinished. They will need to have a final finish applied at home, use Treatex Dark Hardwax oil to get the same finish as the doors pictured.
